For part of that time, my mind kept shifting points of view. One moment, I would see things one way, and within a minute or two, I would literally see it the opposite way. And both ways made perfect sense! My mind was constantly shifting--it seemed that there were as many points of view as there are stars in the sky. And, the oddest thing was: they all seemed perfectly valid while I was experiencing them--no matter how broad, or how narrow, or how far to the left, or to the right-- they seemed right, and true, at the time I experienced them. How did this affect me? Well, it was nearly impossible to make a decision! But I learned an extremely valuable lesson: Being judgmental--about anything or anyone--is absolutely pointless! Each of us has come here to experience many
things, and to learn many lessons. Perhaps
the most important lesson of all is to love and find some compassion, both
for self and others, no matter who they are, or where they are in their
lives. Love Unites and Heals. Fear Separates and Destroys. Love unites and heals. Fear separates and destroys. This is not just an abstract theory. Scientists have proven it, and have even photographed the healing of cells when people think thoughts of love vs. thoughts of fear. Many people live their lives stumbling through a maze, unable to find the key...the way out they so desperately seek. Many of us live with a dark cloud of fear or dread hanging over our heads, and we have no way of knowing the spiritual Sun that promises relief, even though we've heard of its existence. The hardships so many of us face teach us many things, and hopefully they teach us to have compassionate understanding for our fellow creatures, and for this beautiful planet we call home. As wars rage in the world, and in ourselves, can you tell me: Where does Peace live? Where does Light live? Where does Love live? Which road is the Right Road? It seems that everything and everyone is vying for our attention, distracting us from our purpose, yet once again. The crooked and jagged roads most of us travel may lead us far from the paths we first envisioned. And perhaps the lessons were not the ones we hoped for. Yet, through the meanderings and mistakes we all make, perhaps...just perhaps we have learned, and taught, something truly significant. Although we as individuals change and grow, at every moment there is a true alignment that is possible with our own Essence. And the expression of that truth, along with the acceptance and understanding of the truth of others, is...well, I believe it's called Life! And some might even call it...Heaven on Earth.

few years ago, I went
through a fascinating experience. I had gone through some
very difficult times where I lost just about everything, and I felt I couldn't
count on anyone. I had lost my "grounding" -- my anchor to life
-- in such an extreme way that I wonder how it is that I made it
through.
